EACC held workshops on Customary Dispute Resolution Mechanisms in five regions

"EACC is currently conducting a research on customary dispute resolution mechanisms (CDRM) in various regions. A steering committee was set up in order to over look the research activity. Members of the steering committee are Ministry of Justice, Legal Research and Study Institute, Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), and EACC. The main researchers are Dr. Gebre Yntiso, Dr. Fekade Azeze and Dr. Asseffa Fiseha; an anthropologist, a linguist and a law professor, respectively. The research is estimated to take two years and it is conducted in two phases."
