"Disputes over construction payments are set to dip to a three- year low this year, but the figure could rise as global economic turmoil takes a toll, an expert says.
Data from the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC), the body that administers the payment dispute adjudication process, has pegged the volume for this year at an estimated 160 cases. This is marginally lower than the 169 cases heard in 2009 and the 165 cases last year."
